Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure across municipal departments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure business continuity.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local government data privacy and security regulations.
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory and assist with software deployment and patch management.
- Conduct regular system audits and assist in the implementation of cybersecurity best practices.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate service logs for the IT department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Active CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of government compliance standards and FOIA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical jargon for non-technical staff.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain necessary government security clearance.
