Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for state and federal government contracts.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery within scope and on time.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and government clients to ensure alignment.
- Identify and mitigate project risks using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure contract compliance.
- Conduct regular status meetings and prepare detailed progress reports for executive leadership.
- Mentor junior project managers and foster a collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a government or defense contracting environment.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance (if applicable to role).
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site in San Diego, CA.
