Job Description
Pima County is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. Due to critical infrastructure needs, this position is open on an urgent basis. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can ensure our county's technological systems remain operational and secure.
As a key member of our IT department, you will provide high-level technical support to county employees, troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, and maintain our network environment. Responsibilities
- Tier 2 & 3 Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Software Deployment: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and business applications.
- Hardware Management: Manage inventory, perform upgrades, and coordinate repairs for IT assets.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing data security policies and protocols to protect sensitive county information.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional IT support experience in a government or corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and remote support tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours and respond to critical system outages as needed.
