Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex IT systems and software solutions for county operations.
- Oversee database management, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Mentor junior staff members and conduct technical training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government IT regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT management.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Proven experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle, etc.) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences.
