Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for state employees and the public.
- Manage and maintain IT inventory, including laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows/Linux) and office productivity software.
- Respond to and resolve Help Desk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with network connectivity, security patches, and system backups.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on new software tools and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all technical issues and resolutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with non-technical users.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Texas Driverβs License and good driving record.
