Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including servers, switches, and firewalls.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across multiple departments.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Plan, execute, and oversee system upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IT solutions for future growth.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT support within a government or enterprise environment.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud services (Azure/AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- San Diego residency requirement (proof of residence may be requested).
