Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and hardware infrastructure across state facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues with minimal downtime.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data and systems.
- Provide technical support and training to staff members regarding IT systems and software applications.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade systems and implement new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware installation, and ITIL best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
