Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of server infrastructure and virtual environments.
- Manage and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for state agencies and internal users.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery testing to minimize data loss risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy IT solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to government staff regarding IT policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and network diagrams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent military experience.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Experience with Microsoft Server 2016/2019 and Active Directory administration.
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting, VPN setup, and firewall configuration.
- Knowledge of government IT compliance standards (FISMA, NIST) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
