Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system development and upgrades.
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, databases, and software applications to support county operations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical government services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and department heads, to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local data privacy and security regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users and junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems analysis, IT support, or a related technical role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Java, .NET, or similar programming languages.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel between county facilities.
