Responsibilities
- Design and review engineering plans for municipal projects, including roads, drainage, and water systems.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, effectively coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and accurate cost estimates for city projects.
- Ensure all engineering solutions are sustainable, cost-effective, and aligned with city planning goals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff and the public regarding engineering matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in municipal or civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
