Responsibilities
- Design and oversee major transportation infrastructure projects including highways, interchanges, and bridges
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and contractors during project execution
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, TxDOT standards, and safety protocols
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for high-priority initiatives
- Conduct traffic impact studies and develop innovative mobility solutions
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and specifications
- Coordinate with local agencies, stakeholders, and community representatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in highway design, traffic engineering, and transportation modeling software (e.g., Civil 3D, Synchro)
- Experience managing DOT/FHA-funded projects and compliance with MUTCD
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
