Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with city departments, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications using advanced engineering software.
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to environmental and sustainability standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in municipal or civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant engineering design software.
- Strong understanding of public works standards, construction practices, and city ordinances.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.
