Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, facilities, and public grounds
- Operate heavy equipment including mowers, tractors, and hand tools safely
- Inspect and repair playground equipment, benches, and other public amenities
- Assist in seasonal projects like snow removal and vegetation control
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of maintenance or landscaping experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of equipment operation and safety protocols
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities
