Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and public spaces
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, snow removal equipment) safely
- Conduct inspections and repairs of sidewalks, signage, and street furniture
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams during emergency response
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment maintenance records
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and municipal protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Class B CDL preferred
- 2+ years in maintenance/construction or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Clean background check and pre-employment drug screen required
