Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city buildings, parks, and sidewalks
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, dump trucks) safely
- Respond to emergency storm and snow removal operations
- Assist in construction and repair projects including roads and drainage
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and work sites
- Interact professionally with citizens and report maintenance issues
Qualifications
- Valid Kansas driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in all weather
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to obtain commercial driver's license (CDL) within 6 months
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Ability to follow written instructions and work independently
