Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of public streets, parks, and municipal facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, front-end loaders, and backhoes, ensuring safe operation at all times.
- Inspect and maintain public infrastructure, including benches, signs, and utility equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and assist in disaster recovery or cleanup efforts.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and City policies regarding workplace conduct and equipment handling.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to complete daily work orders efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not always required.
- Strong commitment to public service and community integrity.
