Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning of streets, sidewalks, and public parks.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and street sweepers.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and public service inquiries promptly.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations and city policies.
- Monitor and maintain drainage systems to prevent flooding.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction or maintenance equipment is preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
