As a Municipal Worker, you will be the face of our city's infrastructure, ensuring that our streets, alleys, and public spaces meet the highest standards of safety and aesthetic appeal.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street sweeping, snow removal, and waste management operations.
- Operate heavy and light machinery, such as sweepers, loaders, and dump trucks, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and alleyways to ensure they are free of debris and hazards.
- Inspect municipal infrastructure for wear and tear and report necessary repairs to supervisors.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, traffic control laws, and city policies at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during peak operational hours.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of municipal vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Class C Maryland Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment.
- Strong commitment to public service and community integrity.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
