Responsibilities
- Maintenance Operations: Perform routine maintenance and repair on streets, sidewalks, storm drains, and traffic signals.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, backhoes, and jackhammers.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency service calls and weather-related incidents, such as pothole repair and tree removal.
- Public Safety: Ensure work zones are properly flagged and secured to protect workers and the public.
- Environmental Compliance: Follow strict environmental regulations regarding waste disposal and chemical handling.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or landscaping.
- Licensing: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools; strong attention to detail.
