Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on parks, streets, and public buildings
- Operate heavy machinery including snowplows, mowers, and utility vehicles
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain equipment records
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city regulations
- Support community events and beautification initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery or maintenance equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
- Pass background check and drug screening
