Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, traffic signs, and park facilities.
- Operate heavy and light machinery, such as backhoes, graders, and dump trucks, in accordance with safety protocols.
- Respond to and resolve service requests related to street lighting, potholes, and drainage issues.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather to ensure public safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform daily equipment inspections.
- Collaborate with other city departments and contractors to complete large-scale municipal projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Missouri Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, landscaping, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screen.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours as needed.
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and construction equipment operation is a plus.
