Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, snowplows, and loaders safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair city streets, sidewalks, and curbs to ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians.
- Perform snow and ice removal operations during winter months to maintain road access.
- Assist in the collection and disposal of solid waste, recyclables, and yard waste.
- Inspect public infrastructure for safety hazards, potholes, or structural damage.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations strictly at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment as directed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform minor equipment troubleshooting.
- Strong commitment to public service, safety, and community engagement.
