Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely including trucks, loaders, and excavators
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Implement erosion control measures and landscape management protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital improvement projects
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and municipal safety standards
- Document work activities and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, maintenance, or related field
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and emergency call-outs
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in diverse teams
