Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, snow removal equipment)
- Respond promptly to citizen service requests and infrastructure issues
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on special projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean driving record
- 6+ months of landscaping/construction experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment physical
