Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including sidewalks, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency weather events (floods, storms) for public safety support
- Execute street sweeping, landscaping, and waste management operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public spaces to identify hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban development projects
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- 1+ years of maintenance/construction experience preferred
