Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and facility security during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to maintain safety protocols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Operate security systems including surveillance and access control
- Transport inmates as required for medical or court appointments
- Enforce facility rules and regulations consistently
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to stand/walk for extended periods
