Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of government facilities, including perimeter checks and interior monitoring, to deter and detect security threats.
- Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, following established security protocols and emergency response plans.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and logs documenting daily activities, observations, and any security breaches.
- Assist in the enforcement of facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment for employees and visitors.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services during critical incidents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is strongly preferred.
- Certification as a Security Officer (e.g., Louisiana Security Guard License) is a plus.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
