Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch resources during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Radio-Aided Dispatch (RAD) systems
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival medical instructions
- Coordinate multi-agency responses for critical incidents
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and compliance records
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless transition of ongoing cases
- Participate in continuous training for new protocols and technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 2 years dispatch or public safety experience
- POST Public Safety Dispatcher Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Exceptional communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish/Chinese a plus)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Proficiency with CAD systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
