Your Role
As a Night Shift Security Officer, you will be the first line of defense for our client's facility. You will ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and information through vigilant monitoring and strict adherence to security protocols. This is not just a job; it is a vital role in national security and public safety.
Responsibilities
- Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to detect and deter unauthorized access or security breaches.
- CCTV Surveillance: Monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems continuously to identify suspicious activities or safety hazards.
- Access Control: Verify credentials of all personnel and visitors, ensuring strict compliance with visitor logs and access protocols.
- Emergency Response: React swiftly and professionally to alarms, fires, medical emergencies, or security incidents in accordance with emergency action plans.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports and log entries for all activities, observations, and incidents encountered during the shift.
- Customer Service: Assist visitors and employees with directions and inquiries while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of security experience, preferably in a government or high-security facility environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- License: Valid Nevada Driver's License and a current Security Officer license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
