Responsibilities
- Conduct routine security patrols of government facilities and grounds to ensure a safe environment for employees and visitors.
- Monitor security cameras and access control systems, reporting any irregularities or breaches immediately.
- Verify the identity of visitors and contractors, issuing badges and maintaining accurate logs.
- Respond to emergency situations, alarms, or incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Enforce federal and state laws, as well as site-specific security regulations, to prevent unauthorized access.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security logs for all activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for government security clearance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; additional certifications (e.g., CCP, DOD CMMC) are a plus.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong observation skills and the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Background check and drug screening are mandatory.
