Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure Charlotte's municipal buildings and facilities during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of designated areas
- Respond to security breaches and emergencies with appropriate protocols
- Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs
- Coordinate with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for incident response
- Operate security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring
- Provide excellent customer service to city employees and visitors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid North Carolina Security Guard License
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
