Job Overview
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is responsible for the protection of life and property in the State of Arizona. Our Night Operations team plays a critical role in maintaining safety and security during critical hours. As a Night Shift Operations Specialist, you will oversee facility security, monitor surveillance systems, and ensure protocol compliance across all state facilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate state facility security systems, including CCTV and alarm panels, during assigned night shifts.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of state buildings and grounds to ensure safety and compliance.
- Respond immediately to security alerts, emergencies, and non-emergency incidents with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and personnel movements in the government database.
- Enforce government regulations, access control policies, and parking regulations for staff and visitors.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency response teams during critical events.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or Public Administration preferred.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain alert and focused during night hours.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and government record-keeping software.
- Clean criminal background check and valid Arizona Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or public facility operations is highly valued.
