Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned beats to maintain law and order and deter criminal activity.
- Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and non-emergency situations during night hours.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports.
- Secure government facilities, sensitive infrastructure, and personnel during overnight operations.
- Enforce traffic laws, issue citations, and manage traffic flow.
- Assist in the apprehension, detention, and transport of suspects.
- Provide emergency assistance to the public and coordinate with other agencies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status required.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph examination, and medical evaluation.
- Physical fitness capable of meeting law enforcement standards (passing the POST physical agility test).
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
