Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, parks, and recreational facilities to ensure high-quality standards.
- Perform routine grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, landscaping, and litter removal.
- Inspect park equipment and signage for safety hazards and report necessary repairs.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Operate power tools, mowers, and light maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Interact with park visitors and residents to provide information and ensure a welcoming environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and departmental guidelines during daily operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
- Valid Driver's License (preferred but not always mandatory for entry-level).
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or general maintenance practices.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.
