Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and green spaces including mowing, trimming, and irrigation systems
- Operate and maintain recreational facilities including pools, community centers, and sports courts
- Lead youth and adult recreational programs including sports leagues, fitness classes, and cultural events
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily facility inspections
- Assist with special event coordination and volunteer management
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance or recreation programming
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor
