Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, and green spaces
- Lead recreational programs for youth and adults (sports leagues, fitness classes, arts & crafts)
- Conduct daily park inspections and report maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Assist with special events including festivals, concerts, and cultural celebrations
- Enforce park rules and regulations with professionalism and customer service focus
- Perform seasonal tasks like snow removal, landscaping, and equipment upkeep
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects and community initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks, hospitality, or customer service role
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
- Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in basic park maintenance tools and equipment operation
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
