Responsibilities
- Operate park maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, and snow removal tools
- Inspect and repair playgrounds, athletic courts, and park structures
- Lead community events, sports leagues, and youth programs
- Manage trail systems and natural habitat conservation areas
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Collaborate with volunteers and community groups on park projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in grounds maintenance or recreation programming preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of power tool operation
