Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park grounds including mowing, landscaping, irrigation, and facility upkeep
- Operate and maintain recreational equipment, playgrounds, sports facilities, and park amenities
- Assist with planning, organizing, and executing community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, addressing inquiries and ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs or hazards
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects and seasonal preparations
- Support special events including festivals, concerts, and holiday celebrations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with diverse community members
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, safety protocols, and recreational equipment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and operations
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
