Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including turf, landscaping, irrigation systems, and recreational facilities
- Operate and inspect playground equipment, athletic courts, and picnic areas
- Lead community recreation programs, sports leagues, and special events
- Enforce safety protocols and provide first aid assistance when needed
- Collaborate with maintenance staff on facility repairs and seasonal projects
- Assist in developing new park initiatives and community outreach programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance or recreation services
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Basic knowledge of turf management and irrigation systems
