Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems) provided by the city
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of parks, playgrounds, and athletic facilities
- Assist with special events, sports leagues, and community programs
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs
- Interact positively with visitors and enforce park regulations
- Collaborate with team on seasonal beautification projects
- Support emergency response protocols during severe weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (required for equipment operation)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of groundskeeping practices preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Experience with landscaping tools or equipment beneficial
