Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, including mowing, edging, trimming, and landscaping to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and remove litter from public areas, restrooms, and facilities.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of community events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on park structures, benches, and playground equipment.
- Operate landscaping machinery and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards, vandalism, or code violations and report findings to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not always required.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
