Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities using city-provided equipment
- Operate machinery including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for community activities
- Inspect and report facility maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Support seasonal recreational programs and youth sports leagues
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols
- Perform snow removal and ice control during winter months
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate outdoor power equipment safely
- Physical stamina for lifting 50+ lbs and working in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and turf management
- Customer service skills for public interaction
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred (training provided)
