Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean public parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and seasonal leaf removal.
- Assist in the maintenance and minor repair of park equipment, structures, and playgrounds.
- Monitor park grounds to enforce safety rules, ensure proper use of facilities, and respond to public inquiries.
- Operate landscaping machinery and tools, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers, following all safety protocols.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver's License is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
