Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Facilities: Perform routine cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance of park grounds, athletic fields, and playground equipment.
- Visitor Safety: Monitor park areas to ensure visitor compliance with rules and regulations, and report hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Event Support: Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Equipment Care: Inspect, operate, and maintain landscaping machinery and tools safely.
- Groundskeeping: Perform seasonal tasks such as planting, weeding, and irrigation management to keep facilities pristine.
- Community Engagement: Interact positively with park visitors and provide information about park amenities.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License (Class C) and a clean driving record.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and perform strenuous physical labor.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of gardening tools, safety protocols, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
