As a Parks and Recreation Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring our parks are safe, clean, and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, including mowing, weeding, and litter removal.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of recreational events, festivals, and sports leagues.
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on park equipment and facilities.
- Monitor park areas to ensure visitor safety and compliance with rules.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs within designated park zones.
- Interact positively with the public and provide information regarding park amenities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in landscaping, custodial work, or event support is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
