Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, facilities, and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Assist with setup and supervision of recreational programs and community events
- Perform light maintenance tasks including landscape upkeep, trash removal, and minor repairs
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Operate park machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor park conditions and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Support special events and seasonal programs as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and prolonged outdoor work
- Basic knowledge of park maintenance practices and safety protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Preferred: Experience in parks, recreation, or customer service
