Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, trails, and athletic facilities including mowing, landscaping, and equipment upkeep
- Organize and supervise recreational programs, sports leagues, and community events
- Ensure visitor safety through routine inspections and emergency response protocols
- Operate park machinery (mowers, trimmers, snow removal equipment) safely and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of facility cleanliness and safety
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of park maintenance or recreation experience preferred
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to inclusive community service
- Basic knowledge of turf management, horticulture, or recreation program development
