Responsibilities
- Maintain and beautify parks, athletic fields, and public grounds through mowing, trimming, landscaping, and irrigation maintenance.
- Collect and dispose of trash and litter in designated areas and along roadways to ensure a clean environment.
- Set up and dismantle recreational equipment, bleachers, and facilities for community events, sports leagues, and concerts.
- Perform routine maintenance on park buildings, restrooms, and playground equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Assist with the maintenance of aquatic facilities, pools, and spray parks during the summer season.
- Monitor park areas to ensure public safety, enforce park rules and regulations, and report maintenance issues.
- Operate and perform minor repairs on landscaping and groundskeeping machinery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Florida Driverβs License with a clean driving record preferred.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and occasional rain.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or groundskeeping practices is a plus.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime shifts.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
