What You Will Do:

Our team manages over 6,000 acres of land, including parks, trails, and recreational facilities. In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and weeding park areas and athletic fields.
  • Maintain and repair park facilities, including restrooms, shelters, and playground equipment.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational events, festivals, and sports leagues.
  • Operate and maintain heavy and light equipment, such as mowers, tractors, and leaf loaders.
  • Perform snow and ice removal duties during winter months to ensure public safety.
  • Monitor park grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Interact with the public in a professional manner, providing information and assistance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid Class D Driver’s License (or ability to obtain) with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Willingness to participate in the city-sponsored paid training program.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and community service.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping and/or construction tools is a plus but not required.
