Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, and landscaping
- Operate light equipment and hand tools for trail maintenance, irrigation, and debris removal
- Assist in organizing community events and educational programs in park settings
- Monitor park conditions, report hazards, and implement safety protocols
- Support seasonal park operations including snow removal and emergency response
- Collaborate with volunteers and community groups on beautification projects
- Maintain accurate records of park inspections and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years park maintenance or landscaping experience
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and park safety standards
- Strong communication skills for public interaction and team collaboration
- Certification in First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Familiarity with Seattle parks system and environmental regulations preferred
